A blog about a blog, see the link below for a beautifully written, in depth blog by the wonderful Love Story Inspiration. I have to be honest, this puts my small recent blogs to absolute shame.

TTHE BLOG IS BETH AND DAN WRIGHTS PERCET DAY, A RUSTIC BARN WEDDING WITH A CREAM AND IVORY PALETTE AND PAMPAS GRASS AT CUMBRIA’S EDEN BARN FEATURING SMOKE BOMBS, SPARKLERS AND CUMBRIAN FEASTING BOARDS.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

“Clare (Clare Gelderd Photography) photographed Dan’s best friend’s wedding who he was best man for. And from that day I just loved her energy. She got the job done. As well as her professionalism she’s also so fun to be around. We had a great laugh together and I also feel like I’ve made a friend for life with her. I know a few other local photographers and I could never have imagined having the same relationship with them as I do with Clare. Personality aside, her style is amazing and I don’t often see other photos like hers.”

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

“The hour or so that we took out on the evening, just Dan and I, was definitely our most memorable. It was the best thing that Clare (our photographer) could have ever suggested. We started to get overwhelmed with attention and we needed some ‘us time’. We danced, messed around, cuddled and kissed and laughed the entire time. No one bothered us, most people didn’t actually know where we were. Some of my favourite photos came from this time we had.

As well as that, walking down the aisle was something I dreaded and lost sleep over (As a bridesmaid at my auntie’s wedding, I fell over a tree whilst walking down the aisle. It could only happen to me!) But it actually ended up being the other best part! It didn’t go quite to plan! Our youngest (who was 18 months at the time) wanted to stay with his grandad and dad at the bottom. I heard him crying and looked at Cliff in panic and was about to set off before ‘my part.’ I had a longer build up between the bridesmaids and myself. He looked at me half smiling and gestured me to stop and just wait.

I suddenly blocked absolutely everything out. He made the whole experience perfect for me. When I met Dan at the bottom of the aisle, I had a feeling I’ve never ever felt before. It was honestly like there was no one else in the room (clichéd I know). I hear all the time about future brides dreading having all eyes on them and not wanting to speak in front of everyone. I felt the same. But it was almost like an out of body experience. I could only see my husband, it was lovely.”
