Lake District Wedding Photographer...
Lets get down to business about my love for the stunning area that I was born and raised, The Lake District, UK.
Hi, my name is Clare I am a Lake District wedding photographer. I am a country girl through and through, being born and raised in The Lake District is an absolute blessing.
With offerings of magnificent landscapes, breathtaking waterfalls, beautiful Lakes and seasonal changes alongside the ever varied weather conditions; this natural playground chimes with my love of the outdoors.
I'm based only a stones throw from Windermere, Coniston, and the hidden gems of the West Lake District. My family farm upon Cartmel Fell overlooking one of the best views in the South Lakes. Whether I am working the land or photographing the beauty of it, each inch is one I treasure.
Maybe it is the unruined natural scenes and wildlife, or is it the moody skies and sunny spells that sculpt the picturesque mountain views that keeps me tied to my home?
(Writing this I smile). I know all too well it is the early mornings when I feel like Beatrix Potter, as the wildlife cascades the walls into the woodland, when the crisp fresh air and rain that sprinkles my face when I least expect it. It is the charming peaceful silence that I've never found anywhere else. Like many, I could sit for hours listening to the waters upon the shores and taking in the skyline of peaks transforms as the clouds roll over them.
Your Lake District Wedding Photography Experience
You're here because your love for the Cumbrian Lake District National Park echoes mine, and you are now looking for a local photographer who is as passionate about documenting the whole scene, not just your wedding day, raw emotions and moments. The whole scene, including the views, conditions, textures, and of course your love for the adventure. Like the scenery in the Lakes, it is heartfelt, detailed and natural working with me.
Exploring the Lakes over the past 32 years of my life has allowed me to unlock a directory of beautiful accessible locations, enabling anyone I work with to take full advantage of what nature has to offer us. This is my home, my playground and I am here to share it with you both.
Every wedding is bespoke, there is no one size fits all.
Are you opting to elope(?), maybe you are going for a weekend wedding retreat, or even a full week long Lake District celebration of love.
Raw, heartfelt photography starts with one thing; genuine connection. Not only the connection with people, but the photographers connection with the environment and moments that unfold within it.
As your photographer I ensure your wedding is seen with fresh eyes whilst working with the personal elements of your day, reading the room, then photographing accordingly.
Everyone enjoying your day is at the heart of my work. Your wedding day is bespoke to you, I cover your wedding capturing the aspects that truely mean the most to you both. If that means trecking up a mountain, a Lakeside splash, paddle board, horse ride or maybe you simply want peace and calm, I am here for what suits you.
I am dedicated to the whole process, including supporting you with finding quality Lake District suppliers, picturesque portrait locations, wedding timeline structures, and much more.
If you are marrying in the Lake District National Park, or maybe slightly further afield in The Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire, or bonnie Scotland, I would love to hear from you both.
"Clare is an absolutely amazing wedding photograper! All the way from our initial chat before booking for our wedding to after the wedding and receiving our fantastic photos. She has been there every step of the way, keeping us regularly updated throughout.
We had a pre-wedding shoot with Clare which was one of the best things we did! We were both a bit apprehensive about it as we don’t really like having our pictures taken but Clare was just brilliant. We spent the entire shoot laughing and having a good time and Clare was able to capture this perfectly, as well as some amazing pictures of our dogs! After the pre-wedding shoot, we were looking forward to Clare capturing our wedding even more and felt so much more relaxed in front of the camera.
On the wedding day Clare was just PERFECT. We were worried we wouldn’t capture everything in the time frame and so had asked Clare to come a little later to make sure we could cover after the first dance. Clare arrived 2 hours earlier and stayed beyond the first dance to make sure she had captured everything and we are so grateful for this. Clare wasn’t just a photographer, she did 10 other jobs at once making sure our day was perfect and everything went how we wanted to. She was up for a stop on the way for some couples photos in the rain which gave us a chance to spend time just the two of us without our guests whilst getting some lovely and fun photos.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to capture our day. The amount of people that have said how happy we and everyone else look on the pictures shows Clare captured our amazing day perfectly. Clare was able to capture the love we have for each other without having staged, awkward photos, she was able to focus on the fun side of our relationship and this really shines through on the photos.
Finally the wedding pictures, what can we say, they are so much more than we could have imagined. They are natural, relaxed and really capture our relationship perfectly. We already have so many printed and just cannot whittle down our favourites. Clare, thank you so so much for everything you have done, we would recommend you in a heart beat and we mention you to all our friends who get engaged. We hope you can capture other important aspects of our life going forward!
If you want a relaxed, easy going, up for a laugh but incredibly talented photographer, Clare is the one!!"
