The Most Extra Autumn Wedding Ever
If you’re dreaming of an autumn wedding full of personality, cosy vibes, and moments your guests will never forget — this is your sign to go all in. And I mean ALL IN!
This wedding wasn’t about playing it safe. It was about celebrating love loudly, embracing tradition and chaos, and creating a day that felt deeply personal, joy-filled, and unmistakably autumnal. From bridal prep boogies to extra quirks through the confetti (yes, really), every part of this day was intentional, playful, and packed with meaning.
And honestly? Weddings and people like this are why I do what I do.

From the get-go, Andrew and Rachels (AKA - Leanne) details were absolutely mega! It really opened my eyes as to what was going to unfold throughout the day.
Additionally I was joined by Craig Galley Films, a high energy wingman every professional photographer needs on days this fun filled! Starting out strong with his tall yellow hat as requested by the Bride, Rachel.
Let’s talk autumn energy, because this day nailed it.
Think rich seasonal tones, warm fabrics, candlelight moods, and that unmistakable cosy feeling you only get from an autumn wedding in the UK. Deep rusts, wine reds, burnt orange florals, and soft neutrals wrapped everything in warmth — not just visually, but emotionally too.
This wasn’t autumn as a colour scheme. This was autumn as a feeling.
Perfect for couples searching for:
Autumn wedding inspiration
Cosy UK wedding ideas
Moody, warm, seasonal wedding photography.
From delicate bridal bibs and bobs to the extravagant! The reception room was dressed outstandingly in Autumnal colours, fresh flowers and show stopping sparkling displays in the centre of each table top, adding more warmth and energy to the day!
That Bouquet Though… Ribbons, Texture & Autumn Drama
The bride’s bouquet was an absolute showstopper.
Huge, textural, and unapologetically autumnal, it overflowed with seasonal florals and foliage in deep oranges, rich reds, and moody greens. And the extra-long, flowing ribbons? Pure drama! They moved with Rachel, caught the light, and added softness and scale to every moment.
It wasn’t just a bouquet — it was an extension of her presence.

Bridal Prep: Bake Off, Boogie & War Paint Energy
Bridal prep set the tone early — and it was anything but quiet.
Santa made an appearance. Because why not? This wedding embraced humour, nostalgia, and surprise in the best way. But among the playful moments, there was depth too. Andrew missed out on the little ones JOY seeing Father Christmas stood in mummies bedroom.
Rachel chose to jump over hot coals at the end of her bed, to celebrate, FINALLY finding the one. A moment that marked huge progression in life and love. Symbolic, whilst powerful!
Instead of nervous silence, the room was alive with laughter, music, and movement.
A full-on bake off moment unfolded with the bridesmaids, resulting in delicious cookies and flour all over!
Brides-man offered Rachel a HUGE bottle of champagne which Rachel knocked back in the window ahead of spontaneous dancing around the pole (on theme with Santa, obviously).
Bridal prep became part of the celebration, not just a means to an end.

And then there was the makeup.
The bride’s look was powerful and symbolic — war paint, painted with intention rather than tradition. A bold sweep of colour across her cheek marked the moment she stepped into the day fully herself. Confident. Grounded. Ready.
This wasn’t about soft bridal expectations.
This was about identity, strength, and owning the moment.
Perfect inspiration for:
Alternative bridal makeup
Non-traditional wedding prep
Brides wanting something bold and meaningful
The couple daughter arrived with wings through the bridal suites window, sprinkling a little calm and delight through the fun filled wedding morning. Not for the faint hearted, but genuinely a priceless moment in time...

The Groom in Chains (Because Rules Are Optional)...
And then there was the groom.
Arriving with chains around his wrists, unapologetically owning his entrance, he set the tone perfectly. It was theatrical, symbolic, and full of humour — a reminder that weddings don’t have to follow rules to be meaningful. Guests were very amused by his willingness to be chained down.
This was a couple who knew exactly who they were and weren’t afraid to show it. Humour, connection, dedication.
Ideal inspiration for:
Alternative grooms
Non-traditional wedding outfits
Couples wanting a wedding that reflects them
Andrew stood nervously, unaware what was to come.

Ceremony of celebration
Guided in via large Autumnal colours ribbons draped along Eaves Hall Ceremony room, the bridesmaids attempted to keep a straight face as they approached Andrew - still chained at the wrists.
Father of the bride was extremely proud and offered up additional humour during this legal wedding ceremony. His, miniature case, read "about time". Evidently Rachel wasn't the only one waiting for this wedding day!
Ideal for couples looking for humorous wedding items.
Confetti, Chaos & the Iconic Giant Sausage Toss
And finally… The exit.
As the newlyweds stepped out into cheers and confetti, laughter filled the air — followed by the unforgettable moment when a giant sausage was tossed mid-confetti.
Ridiculous? Absolutely.
Iconic? Without question.
Memorable? For life.
The bride’s reaction said it all — pure, unfiltered joy. No posing. No composure. Just laughter, love, and a moment that will be talked about forever.

A Wedding That Gave Couples Permission to Be Themselves
This wedding is proof that your day doesn’t have to be traditional to be meaningful — and it doesn’t have to be serious to be sincere.
It was cosy, chaotic, heartfelt, hilarious, autumn-soaked, and completely unforgettable. A reminder that the best weddings are the ones where couples feel free to be fully themselves.
If you’re planning:
An alternative wedding
A fun-filled autumn wedding
A non-traditional UK wedding
Or a wedding that breaks the rules and tells your story
Then this is your sign to lean in.
If you want a photographer who thrives on capturing big energy, real emotion, and the beautifully unexpected — I’m very much here for it.
A Little Note on AI, Creativity & Keeping Things Fun...
Before we wrap this up — let’s talk about the elephant in the room… or rather, the giant sausage mid-confetti.
You may have noticed that some of the playful descriptions, exaggerated moments, and tongue-in-cheek storytelling in this blog lean into humour just that little bit extra. That’s intentional — and it’s also where a touch of AI assistance came into play.
AI was used here purely as a creative tool for humour, helping amplify the fun, personality, and storytelling of an already unforgettable day. Think of it as a creative writing assistant — not a replacement for lived experience, real emotion, or genuine photography.
And just to be crystal clear:
I never use AI to alter images, reimagine weddings, or create alternative edits without explicit client permission. Ever!
This blog is not about rewriting reality — it’s about celebrating it with warmth, wit, and a wink. Every moment described here genuinely happened (wink, wink), and the AI-assisted photoshop simply helps highlight the joy, chaos, and personality that already existed.
Why Use AI at All?
Because sometimes, at the end of a long wedding season, it’s nice to have a bit of fun.
This post is very much a light-hearted, end-of-year celebration — a chance to reflect on the incredible couples, brilliant weddings, and beautifully bonkers moments that make this job so special. AI here acts as a creative fun filled polish, helping exaggerate tone, styling and humour.
It’s storytelling — not shortcuts.
The photography remains 100% human-led. The moments are real. The emotions are real. The laughter? Entirely genuine. The AI add on are just that, ADDED ON. Below, I shall pop on a collection of genuine non-AI-ed images from this amazing wedding.
Consent, Trust & Real Weddings Always Come First
Your wedding story is yours — and it’s treated with care, respect, and intention.
I don’t create alternative narratives, edits, or interpretations of your day without your say-so. Blogs, galleries, and storytelling are always approached collaboratively, with transparency and trust at the centre.
This particular post is simply a joyful way to round off the year, celebrate creativity, and remind everyone that weddings don’t have to fit a mould to be meaningful.
Sometimes, they’re allowed to be:
Extra
Emotional
Slightly chaotic
Deeply heartfelt
And absolutely hilarious
Ending the Year the Same Way We Started: With Joy
It feels a lifetime since I boarded a plane to Australia for a wedding back in April, and after an interesting year I wanted to round it off with some light-hearted silliness!
If this blog has made you laugh, nod along, or feel braver about planning a wedding that truly reflects you — then it’s done its job.
Here’s to more rule-breaking love stories, more autumnal energy, more real moments, and more couples who choose joy over expectation.
And yes… probably more giant sausages too (wink, wink)
If you’re dreaming up a wedding that’s wildly personal, full of warmth, and unapologetically you — I’d love to hear all about it.
